Boot Camp Instructions:  All troops report for duty on Friday night, August 24th at 1900 hours (7:00 pm) at the Camp Tanako Life Center.  Troops will spend the night in the bunk houses, play games, make s'mores by the campfire, learn fun Bible cadences and songs, and attend important Bible Boot Camp courses to strengthen their understanding of the Bible and it's purpose for their lives!  Boot camp concludes at 1400 hours (2:00 pm) on the following Saturday, August 25.  Parents will pick up troops at that time at Camp Tanako!

Learning to Use my bible            (8-week study)

Starting Sunday, September 9th, FUMC Hot Springs Kidz will host an 8-week study for all interested 3rd graders on how to use the Bible at 9:30am each morning in room #216 in the Christian Life Center.  This comprehensive study will teach children how to take an interest in the Bible, and help them make it a lifelong companion.  Learning to Use My Bible offers a fun, hands-on approach, with maps, games, charts and more!  All 3rd grade children are invited to join us for this special class!  No need to register, just come and bring a friend!

Wonderfully Made is the United Methodist Human Sexuality curriculum.   It is being presented to students who are currently in 5th & 6th grade using a seminar format.

A parent orientation is required  before a child can participate in the seminar. This parent orientation will take place a few days prior to the event, so that parents have time to answer any questions they may have about the program before their child participates.

The student workshop will be about 12 hours total.  The first day is usually a 4 hour session, with the second day presented as a full 8 hour session.

Micah Castleberry, a Hot Springs Registered Nurse, will be the presenter.  Enrollment fee is $40 and can be paid by cash or check to First United Methodist Church.  Space is limited to 20 students.

Students must attend the ENTIRE workshop in order to participate.  Parents are required to take part in the workshop by serving as a small group facilitator for at least one session, or by providing snacks.  All parents are asked to attend the last hour of the final session with their child.

Online registration will begin two months prior to the event.
